The Soil's Buhle on come back path

Phew! Some great news to kick off the entertainment week is that Buhle Mda (A member of The Soil) will soon be making a much awaited return.

Buhle, who is currently on a brief sabbatical, is expected to be back behind the mic this August.

The beautifully voiced Buhle took it upon herself to answer her ancestral calling earlier this year and according to the Sunday Sun, there are strong indications that she will make a highly anticipated return before the end of the year.

Co-owner of Native Rhythm, Velile Sithole, told the Sunday Sun that: “There’s been speculation that the group is breaking up. But this couldn’t be further from the truth – as we await the return of the group’s original female member, Buhle Mda.”

Throughout Buhle’s absence, female vocalist, Theo Matshoba made her strides felt by filling in her shoes. Sithole does not believe this will complicate matters when Mda makes her return though.

“Theo is part of The Soil’s development project for all the artists to get a chance to perform and gain experience as well as recognition in the music industry,” explained Sithole.

Surely Theo has made a name for herself within the challenging music entertainment scene.
