Kediboo gets people dancing with Agoiweng (Let's Go) #MondayMotivation

Agoiweng (Let's Go) is a dance track by musician and culture commentator Tshego Mosiane, who is using the name Kebidoo for her music.

Agoiweng (Let's Go) is a fusion of multiple genres, showing the various influences that shape her life, thanks to being raised in the UK, Joburg and the North West.

It's a bop that has a bit of kwaito, pop, Afrobeats and dub-step and Kebidoo uses the beat to spit some fire lines. It's a get-up-and-go song that will make you crave to hit the dance floor.

She worked remotely with GreenBaker, an alternative dance producer based in Abuja, Nigeria, to produce the song. She's definitely one to watch.

Hulisani Ravele talks about her lockdown weight gain

TV and radio presenter Hulisani Ravele got candid with her followers recently about her "lockdown weight" gain and how it's affected her.

Obviously not the only one, and joining a long list of people who've come out of the lockdown period slightly thicker than they used to be, Hulisani took to her Instagram to share her feels about the 10 kilos she's put on.

"Reality check. I've put on about 10 kilos of 'lockdown weight'. I know I'm not alone!" she began her post.

Hulisani, who has become synonymous with preaching the message of self love, explained that while she planned on taking the necessary steps to get rid of the "extra" weight, she was conscious about not letting her confidence take a knock in the meantime.

"The most important part for me is that I have not allowed this change in my physical appearance to stop me from living my life to the fullest! I know there are lifestyle changes I need to make, and I will make them, but in the meantime, I am not opting out of life," she said.

Recently Hulisani also reminded her followers of the importance of prioritising self-love and selfworth.

"We need to learn to not always negatively interpret and analyse someone's actions as an indication of our value or worth to them. Sometimes their actions are what is saving them and holding them together, sometimes their actions are exactly the breath of fresh air they so desperately need to strengthen their soul."

Nambitha Ben-Mazwi talks about her role in new SABC 3 telenovela #TheEstate

Nambitha Ben-Mazwi's latest character is a juicy role she can't wait for fans to watch.

"Gigi, otherwise known as Georgina … people will find out, without giving away too much, that she is bringing a lot of disruption to the show. She is a plot twist, I will definitely be getting those hate mails and dirty looks in public," jokes the actress who is one of the star studded cast of upcoming SABC 3 telenovela The Estate.

Ben-Mazwi says she always gives a human element to the characters she portrays in television shows – from a villain to a weaker character, she makes sure people understand and appreciate who the character is.

"Gigi is going to be bringing a lot of force, sexiness and those 'Oh no she didn't' comments. It's such a fun role to play and discover. For me to peel off her layers and what she is bringing to the plot, I have dug deep to find who she truly is and what her insecurities are."

Ben-Mazwi says she has adjusted well to the "new normal", having already managed to shoot scenes under stricter regulations.

"I don't like to play the same character twice. I always like a good contrast from the previous role. I played a defence lawyer on Diamond City and there were people who didn't even recognise that it was me in the role because of the transformation. With this Gigi role, it's a true transformation. I didn't even recognise myself," says the 32-year-old.

#Amarula amps up the flavour with #ALittleSomethingSomething

A continent with many significant characteristics and a rich history, offering unique experiences and memories to those lucky enough to set foot on its soil – it is undeniable that there is something very special about Africa.

It can be something we feel, smell or taste, in the stories we tell, the human connections we make, the clothes we wear, something we say or something we create.

Amarula Cream Liqueur, a unique offering from South Africa has traditionally been known as an after-dinner treat reserved for special occasion. But when considering the flavour and taste of Amarula and Africa there is no single occasion or box to put it in.

Distell recently launched a new brand film to bring to life and showcase not only the versatility of Amarula but also #ALittleSomethingSomething about Africa.

"We started right at the beginning and challenged ourselves to think about the essence of Africa, what it means to us. When we started to try and explain it to each other it became apparent that there are no simple descriptions to explain Africa to one another.

The one thing we could all agree to is that we all feel something when we think of Africa, we all remember something when we think of Africa and we all love something dearly about Africa. At this point we had to agree that #ALittleSomethingSomething will be the only way to describe Africa and to tap into our target audience and to enable them to recall 'something' for themselves," says Felix Kessel, Executive Creative Director at Grey and Creative Lead at WPP's agency for Distell, Team Liquid.

As Valentine's Day approaches, media personality and businesswoman Boity Thulo confirms she's single and ready to mingle.

Taking to Twitter last week, the Bakae hitmaker admits her patience is running out, and though she can afford to buy herself the best things in life, such as that expensive Hermès Birkin bag, she would still like a decent man by her side who can shower her with expensive gifts too.

I'm in a relationship with. I'm so impatient! The man must arrive, already!"

Fans are still trying to figure why any eligible bachelors on the continent haven't captured the heart of a successful and sexy beauty like Boity.

But it was actor and model Maps Maponyane, who took centre stage as tweeps wondered why he hasn't yet made a move on Boity.

Below are some of the reactions by fans' reactions on Twitter.

This comes after romance rumours made the rounds on social media, but Boity and Maps remained adamant that they are just "good friends".

She wrote: "May my success never be tied to a toxic relationship/ man."
Well, Boity has made it clear that she wants a wealthy man. When asked by a fan what she would like to have this Valentine's Day, she said "R200K".

Coconut Kelz is the new face of Trending SA

When Lesego Tlhabi, popularly known as social media sensation Coconut Kelz, appeared on the show Trending SA, she jokingly said she would come back to the show as a presenter.

Now, just short of a month later, her words have come to fruition.

"I literally manifested this moment. I spoke about being a Trending presenter specifically. Even on air I 'joked' about it being my audition, so to say I'm super excited is honestly an understatement. It finally feels like everything I've worked for I'm starting to reap the rewards for and I couldn't be more grateful and eager for the road ahead," said
Tlhabi.

From today Trending SA is back for a 6th season with Tlhabi and two other new faces added to the show in Luthando "Lootlove" Shosha and Moeti "Mo Flava" Tsiki.

"I am so excited to bring this new season of Trending SA to our audiences. We have kept the premise and the heart of the show," said series producer Sive Nkukwana.

"We are still the leaders in social commentary and we love being at the centre of what South Africa is talking about," Nkukwana said.

Former presenters Elma Smit and Refiloe Mpakanyane leave the magazine show, while MaBlerh stays on as the main host of the show. Tlhabi, Tsiki and Shosha will alternate as co-hosts.

"I am extremely excited about this opportunity. Trending SA is a show I enjoy and I am a fan of talk TV, so joining the team is amazing," said Tsiki, who also hosts the morning drive show on MetroFM.

The social media magazine show has added a more engaging aspect for audiences, focusing on features and more interviews with thought-leaders, celebrities and 'super-sized round-table conversations'.

Emtee is back! #WeDoMoreWednesday

Multi award-winning hip hop artist, composer, author, producer, and CEO, Emtee, has just released a new single titled Ithemba ahead of his highly anticipated third studio album, Logan, out in March.

A trending topic on social media, the hip hop fraternity and music lovers at large have shown massive support for the new release.

Ithemba, which means faith/ hope aims to encourage, inspire and give hope to the youth. Emtee uses himself as an example to let whoever is listening know that they are not alone.

"In these uncertain times you just never know what will happen with the pandemic going on," he says.

"Young people are losing jobs, homes and loved ones. The poor are getting poorer and the rich are getting richer. It is a scary time for African youth who are told to stay at home all day every day which lessens opportunity and possibility that usually would be a norm."

In true Emtee style, his first release of the year has set the tone for his upcoming pro- ject. Named after his youngest son (Avery's little brother), Logan takes on a personal nature as was with his debut album, Avery, and brings to the forefront the theme of fatherhood.

#Samsung launches bold new products

Samsung started off their year strong with the launch of several products for consumers to not only enjoy but to fit into their lives seamlessly.

The annual event revealed new devices – the Samsung S21and S21 Plus, the S21 Ultra 5G, the Galaxy Buds Pro and the Galaxy Smart Tag.

The S21 is available in the colour palette phantom including black, silver, violet, pink, white and grey and the phantom brown exclusively available through the Samsung store.

"We are bringing in a full array of covers. Samsung has done everything from LED covers to slicker covers so there is something in that category. There are additional charging units coming into market as well and the SPen that will be available for the S21 Ultra," said Justin Hume, chief marketing officer for Samsung South Africa.

The S-Pen will also have colour customisations. The pricing of the Buds Pro is R3999, the Buds Live is R2 999.

The Smart Tag comes with the products and retails for R499 as a stand-alone and R1200 for a family pack.

Much like the S20, privacy will still be key with the S21 as biometric information will not be accessed by hackers.

"We are sticking to innovation so we have already set some trends. We have some fantastic foldable products coming to market this year, so we are continuing to sell the S20FE that launched toward the end of last year.

Outside of that we have seen the Buds Pro come to market and watches are quite a hot topic at the moment. We have an action packed year coming forward, this is before our new tech coming in our A Series range," added Hume.
