The Limpopo-born stars who had split to focus on their careers, shared the news with their fans on social media.

In her post on Instagram, Makhadzi posted a series of pictures standing with Master KG with his hands around her waist and one of the Jerusalema hitmaker .

"Besides being my soulmate – you are one of the most humble artist I have ever met.

"Happy birthday to you and may God bless you with many years," wrote Makhadzi.

DJ and Metro FM radio presenter Lerato Kganyago commented on Makhadzi's Instagram post, "Love is so beautiful".

Online dating South Africans now looking more of love than lust #GirlTalkZA

Along with working from home and trying new dishes, online dating reached new heights during the Covid-19 pandemic.

According to a recent survey conducted by dating app QuackQuack, with people staying behind closed doors, online dating has become the new normal.

While it may not provide the intimacy of physical proximity, cuddles, and canoodling, it has undoubtedly assisted people in overcoming their loneliness.

Love takes over physical intimacy
But the question now is, will dating resume and return to normalcy with the reopening?

Due to the Covid outbreak, it is highly unlikely that it will return to pre-infection levels.

A survey conducted during the pandemic revealed a paradigm shift in the dating world. People are more connected than ever before, and online connections are becoming an essential part of dating.

When compared to before the outbreak, 70% of users have seen a significant change in their behaviour and attitude toward dating.

Some 70% of Millennials and Gen Z believe that hook-ups, onenight stands, and casual approaches have taken a back seat during the pandemic and say they are looking for deeper connections now that they have more time.

What needs to be prioritised?

In India, people have been forced to focus on what they are truly looking for while dating as a result of their isolation.
One-quarter (25%) of daters believe they are unwilling to compromise on what they want from a potential relationship.
Some 60% of Millennials began talking to their match with the intention of lust, but it turned out to be something more concrete due to deeper conversation in the pandemic.

A total of 72% of singles believe it is possible to fall in love online even if they have never met in person.

Due to loneliness and boredom, 50% of men and 60% of women sought love during the pandemic, while lust cases decreased.

Just 25% of men and 15% of women looked for lust, because of "boredom" or something new to try.

Lust finds its own way

More than 30% of married men and 20% of women looked for lust on dating apps because of sexual tensions in their married life. Around 55% of men and 50% of women want someone they wouldn't mind quarantining with, keeping love and lust in their minds.

The survey claims that a surge in mental health concerns such as stress, depression, and anxiety has helped people to learn a lot about themselves during the pandemic.

The hook-ups or casual set-ups were no longer stress-busters for people during the pandemic, instead, people looked for something serious because they had a lot to share about their stress and anxiety which got triggered due to loneliness.

Makhadzi wants to be the next Beyonce

Limpopo's finest Makhadzi is working on more music with Kabza de Small, and she won't rest until her sound reaches Beyoncé's level.

The Kokovha singer has so far had astronomical success in the local industry and now her next step is growing her international footprint.

In her latest interview with SMag, Makhadzi highlighted the importance of having to constantly evolve as an artist and her sound remaining relevant.

"The day I am as big as Beyoncé, then people can say I am a superstar. So, for now, I don't think I am there yet. I need to keep working hard until I dominate international stages and airwaves," she says.

The queen of Limpopo dance music assured that despite being known for a particular sound, she will keep inyears corporating different genres into her music.

"Now that we're in January, I am using this time to refresh and prepare for the year ahead. We are from a very busy festive season, so having to rewind helps.

"I use this time to check out what's hot in the music scene so that I can keep up with the times," she says.

"Music has different phases. We had gqom that was big ago and now we have amapiano… so as an artist I must always be ready to sing any genre that ' s trending at the moment."

Makhadzi said her recent amapiano tracks Salungano and Connection, featuring Kabza de Small, received overwhelming response from her fans and have motivated her to head back to the studio with the Scorpion King, as Kabza is also known.

"Salungano has crossed our borders and is receiving so much love in parts of Africa. This is why I'm working on new music with Kabza but it doesn't mean I am changing my genre or jumping ship to amapiano. I am merely showing people how versatile I am as an artist," Makhadzi says.

I will not pay a cent to Bonang Matheba

A few days after media personality Bonang Matheba shared her legal victory against the social media star Rea Gopane, he posted on his social media account that he will not pay Matheba a single dime.

Gopane was embroiled in a legal battle with Matheba after he alleged publicly that the former Metro FM host introduced her ex-lover, rapper Kiernan "AKA" Forbes, to cocaine.

In a statement shared by Matheba it was revealed that he would have to pay compensatory damages to her over his several unjustified attacks on her reputation.

Gopane recently made a video and shared it on social media, making it clear he will not pay a cent to Bonang.

"Let me tell you something real quick; come closer. She is not getting a cent. She is not getting a cent from me. You know what I mean. I have been having this planned out from last year bra. And I ain't paying s***."

The 23-year old further posted on his Twitter account that he would rather burn money than give it to Matheba.

"I would rather burn every single rand that I will ever make in my entire life than to give it to that queen of yours."

Gopane said Bonang is using people's "sheep behaviour" to stay relevant in the eyes of the public.

"Y'all don't even realise Bonang is just using your sheep behaviour to stay relevant in the eyes of the public. She is great at it no lie but what surprises me is how people just keep falling for it."

Gopane was ordered to pay R300 000 in damages by the High Court of Johannesburg.

Matheba said the money will help uplift those who are less fortunate through the Bonang Matheba Foundation.

Matheba established the foundation to advance the tertiary education of young women.
