Highlands Park get City of Ekurhuleni nod

It seems like the City of Ekurhuleni will not let Highlands Park endure a 'solitary confinement' situation in the Absa PSL.

This is after Newly the City of Ekurhuleni’s pledge to support the club as they look to hold onto their PSL status in the upcoming season. Highlands Park secured their berth after a superb winning streak in the playoffs.

Ekurhuleni’s mayor, Mondli Gugumbele, has vowed to help secure sponsorships for the club as they prepare for a season in the top-flight.

“As a city we will make sure that there are enough sponsors to run the team and make sure that they are competing well in the PSL,” he stated.

Gugumbele went on to say that he also plans to upgrade the Makhulong Stadium, where Highlands will play some of their home games.

“That's why we will also upgrade the Makulong Stadium to meet the standard so that we keep the team here and the supporters happy and close to the team,” the Mayor concluded.

The newly promoted lads will be using Makhulong Stadium in Tembisa and Sinaba Stadium in Benoni for their games in the PSL next season.

We all wait to see how the journey is going to be like for Highlands Park....
