Want to buy a #franchise? Here is how to do it

Identify the franchise you are interested in, preferably something that you love doing and have the skills in. Check out www.whichfranchise.co.za and www.fasa.co.za for different franchise opportunities.

Once you have identified a franchise that you think is good for you, you then need to call them or email them so that you can complete their application form.

Once they approve it, it's time to prepare a business plan so that you can get finance to buy the franchise. Usually franchisors will require you to have some money of your own, which could be anything up to 50% of the franchise fee. You can apply to the Business Partners Franchise Fund.

This programme makes it cheaper and easier for people who want to buy franchise businesses. You are required to contribute only 10% of the cost of the franchise. To apply, visit www.business partners.co.za.
