Former #KFC grilled claims his throne as football's next hottest wing! #neyjohnny

Everton recently finalized a deal with Udinese, a Serie A club, for the transfer of Portuguese striker Beto.

The transfer fee is reported to be £25 million. Beto had an impressive season with Udinese, scoring ten goals and providing one assist in 33 league appearances.

Beto's journey to the Premier League has been nothing short of remarkable.

Just last summer, he revealed in an interview with DAZN that he had to work a second job while playing for amateur Lisbon side Tires in 2018.

He worked at KFC as a griller, and despite the challenges, he described it as a "nice life."

The striker's ascent to professional football began when he left Tires and joined Clube Olimpico Monjito, a third division Portuguese club.

Beto's determination and talent caught the attention of scouts, leading to his move to Portimonense.

Reflecting on his journey, Beto expressed his belief in his abilities to become a professional footballer, despite doubts from his teammates.

He stated that only two of his teammates believed in his dreams, while the rest thought it was impossible. However, his move to Portimonense changed their minds.

At Everton, Beto will join his compatriot and fellow striker Youssef Chermiti, who signed for £12 million from Sporting earlier this month. The duo is expected to bolster Everton's attacking options and contribute to the team's goalscoring capabilities.

Beto's story is an inspiring example of determination and perseverance. From working at KFC while playing for an amateur club to securing a move to the Premier League, he has shown that hard work and belief in oneself can lead to success.

Everton fans will be eager to see how Beto adapts to the challenges of English football and contributes to the team's ambitions in the upcoming season.
