President Zuma Appoints 6 Judges

Four judges and two advocates have been appointed as judges to high courts around the country, the presidency said on Monday.

President Jacob Zuma, on the advice of the Judicial Service Commission, appointed Judges Nambitha Dambuza and Rammaka Steven Mathopo as Judges to the Supreme Court of Appeal, Bloemfontein, spokesperson Harold Maloka said in a statement.

Judge Achmat Naaim Jappie was appointed Judge President of the KwaZulu-Natal Division of the High Court in Pietermaritzburg,

Judge Ephraim Mampuru Makgoba was appointed Judge President of the Limpopo Division of the High Court in Polokwane.

Advocate Gerald Hercules Bloem SC was appointed Judge of the Eastern Cape Division of the High Court in Grahamstown, and Advocate Selby Mfanelo Mbenenge SC as Judge of the Eastern Cape Division of the High Court in Bhisho.

All the appointments would be with effect from July 1.
