Details Released Of First NBA Game In Africa

South African is once again making sporting history by becoming the first African country to host an NBA game.

Organisers of the event announced on Monday morning that tickets will go on sale from June 18.

The game is set to take place on August 1 at Ellis Park Arena in Johannesburg.

The teams that will be taking each other on will comprise of “Team Africa” which will be made up of players from Africa and second-generation African players such as Luol Deng from South Sudan who will captain the team as as Serge Ibaka from Congo-Brazaville and Gorgui Dieng from Senegal.

The other team is referred to as “Team World” will be made of Chris Paul, Bradley Beal and Kenneth Faried.

The game will be played in support of Boys and Girls Clubs of South Africa, SOS Children’s Villages Asssociation and the Nelson Mandela Foundation.

Supersport will broadcast the game while tickets to the event can be purchased on Computicket.
