Let the sun shine on your #nails! The new #manicure style trending on Instagram #GirlTalkZA

As the weather warms up, you can keep your hands looking as cool as jelly with the new manicure trend – jelly nails.

Different from regular fake nails, which have a block of colour, jelly nails are translucent.

You can choose an option that is clear or coloured with a see-through effect.

The nails can be created by a nail salon such as Ma Cherie in Bryanston, Johannesburg, or you can try an at-home manicure with a pre-bought set.

At a salon, the manicure will likely take 60- 90 minutes and cost around R400. The price may be higher than some other options, such as regular nail varnish, but could be worth it, because jelly nails can last 3-4 weeks.

Uplift yourself by investing in yourself #MondayMotivation

As conversation around women intensifies this month; we need to look at ways that will uplift not only ourselves, but the women around us.

Whilst much focus is placed on empowerment, we need to also ensure that our financial wellbeing is secure and in good standing. "We rarely invest in ourselves financially, which can put a strain on our wellbeing and relationships with loved ones. Painting a financial canvas of yourself serves as a colourful reminder of what your financial commitments and goals are," says Aneesa Razack, CEO Share Investing, FNB Wealth and Investments.

Like a well-coordinated wardrobe, make sure your finances are well looked after. Razack says, "No one needs to be frugal with money but rather look at ways in which you can save and invest in the things that matter. In the myriad of your life events focus on the top five financial goals which can help you become financially savvy and independent."

Razack believes that we should start small and understand what we want out of our savings and investment goals.

"A good starting point is to identify your goals. Short-term goals look at investing for unforeseen emergencies, going on a family holiday or even eliminating your current debt.  Whereas long-term goals look at investing in your retirement, for your child's education or even buying Krugerrands. These initial steps are vital in any household, as they will help define your financial path for the year."

In addition, think about your investment options carefully. Nothing worse than investing in something that you don't know or not aware of.

"Investments are like uncharted territories for many, but can be a simple process. The key to a well-defined investment strategy is understanding the fundamentals to your investment goals, its structure and your affordability," says Razack."

Tailor-make your budget to ensure that it encompasses your daily expenses, emergencies, investments and those luxury purchases.

"Set aside a personal finance day, where you can take stock of your finances and align it to your budgeting framework. This will also help you review and ascertain where there is wasteful or unnecessary expenditure," she adds.

In the event of a loved one passing on, ensure that your estate or Will is in order. This is the most important legal document that you will own and needs to be aligned to your financial plan outlines the effects to your financial strategy.

"There is nothing wrong with making yourself a priority, but be aware of your spending habits and how it affects your income. The common notion of 'You are what you wear' is true for many. Seen as your armour to the world, your fashion choice can leave you empowered to take on challenge. This coupled with the right financial behaviour, can help your investment in yourself grow," concludes Razack.

Here are 4 reasons why we love #etvScandal's Dintle

4 Reasons why we love Pasi Koetle aka Dintle on Scandal… Love her or hate her But beautiful Dintle has some of the best lines known to soapie land. Scandal!, weekdays at 7:30 PM.

If you thought kids say the funniest things, you clearly have not been paying attention to Dintle's script. Sometimes she makes us cringe, but in most cases she has us cracking with laughter.

Here are some of the reasons why we love Dintle:

1. When it comes to stupidity

Dintle is definitely not the brightest spark in the room. In fact, she confessed that she loves school, but school doesn't love her. Remember when she was selling diamonds and was asked if she had a certificate? She replied by asking if they meant a matric certificate!

2. She's quick to think on her feet

As slow as she can be at times, Didi's quick to think on her feet. When she was coming on to Mthunzi, she started talking business and even proposed a merger between Thebe Holdings and New Horizons. Guess they do not call her "Double D" (Dintle Delivers) for nothing!

3. When it comes to self-confidence

Dintle may lack many things, but she doesn't lack self-confidence. She has proclaimed that Kim Kardashian's behind has nothing on hers. Didi recently told Romeo that men are so into her that she couldn't understand why Mthunzi chose Xolile over her bootylicious body!

4. On name calling

When it comes to name calling, Dintle doesn't cut any corners. She named her daughter, Jewel, short for jewellery as she's precious to her. Because of her, we now know Layla as "Gogo-Layla" while Romeo is affectionately known as "Roro." She once called Quinton the only "Yellow-bone" she's ever slept with. And when YV was wearing a dress with pearls, Dintle sarcastically called her Pearl Thusi. Hlengiwe is now a skinny latte.

Phew! You'd swear Dintle writes her own script.
