Hollywood actor Anthony Anderson congratulates Banyana Banyana

This year's FIFA Women's World Cup is taking place in the Oceanic areas of Australia and New Zealand; the competition began on July 20 and will conclude on August 20.

Banyana Banyana was placed in Group G, together with Argentina, Italy, and Sweden.

Following their great and history making win, the Black-ish' star, Anthony Anderson wished the soccer team well after reaching their achievement.

The American actor seems like he is enjoying his time in South Africa, as he has been spotted at several different locations including doing some groceries at Woolies, partying at Rands Club in Khayelitsha, getting his nails done at Sorbet, and more.

He has also been praised by locals for being down to earth and mingling with the people. And most recently, he was spotted surrounded by locals, watching a netball game in Western Cape.

On the video that he posted about the soccer team, he said: "It's your boy Anthony Anderson from Black-ish. Wishing the Banyanas Banyanas and telling them congratulations for making it to the last 16; and to the Spar Proteas, Yeah, let's go tonight, let's go!"

How he calls the name of the national team had locals in stitches. Fans were also curious to know what has kept him in South Africa for this long.

Either way, Tweeps were just excited to see Anderson out and about, and supporting South African sport.
