Ever wondered if you can recycle clothes and save the environment?
By that, I don't mean buying second-hand but going all the way by wearing sustainable clothing. I recently discovered the Adidas Parley range and was super impressed.
This particular range of clothing is all sustainable, basically leading to a safer ecosystem.
A collaboration between the brand and Parley for the Oceans, an organisation that deals with plastic pollution of oceans and environmental threats – which are mostly human.
The latest collection is a fusion of technology and the usage of sustainable materials. A manufacturing process involves turning plastic waste into thread, which is then used to weave the sneakers.
The range that stands out the most is the Stan Smiths, a sneaker collector's favourite and a classic show, you would never say the shoes are made of recycled material.
With a historical significance the first Stan Smiths were released as a leather tennis shoe in 1965 and later renamed after a popular American tennis player Stan Smith in 1978.
Stan Smiths are the next in a generation of sustainable fashion, without compromising the look of the classic shoe in design and quality.
The collaborations with Parely started in 2015 and have gone to produce numerous ranges, including the very popular running shoe the UltraBoost.
If you're a fan of saving the planet – this might be a range you want to consider for your shoe collection.
