His mother Fikile, finally made it to his son's house today after collapsing yesterday at her home in Kwazulu-Natal when she was told the sad news. She is seated right next to her daughter in law's (Ayanda) side as the two women mourning their beloved Sfiso. The families have agreed on the funeral date which will be this Saturday at the Moses Mabhida Stadium in Durban from 9 am.
According to the family spokesperson, Sipho Makhabane, there will also be two memorial services – in Johannesburg and Durban. The venue for the Johannesburg service is yet to be confirmed, but the memorial will be held on Friday at 11 am. In Durban it will be held at Ethekwini Community Church at 11 am.
The multi-award-winning gospel star passed away on Monday, 5 December, at Fourways Life Hospital after suffering kidney failure. "He was diagnosed with kidney failure and unfortunately took his last breath at 9:30 am in the arms of his loving wife Ayanda Ncwane," said Makhabane.
