The award winning rapper Emtee teamed up with Nigerian reggae-blues singer Harrysong to record a Nelson Mandela tribute song, ahead of Mandela Day next week, paying tribute to the global icon, in song, entitled Mandela (We Wish Not to Let You Go)
In the track, he compares certain aspects of his life with Mandela’s, before expressing his gratitude for Mandela’s example and for “giving us this rainbow nation.”
“I would do anything to see you again… I am what I am today because of you,” the Roll Up rapper later sings.
People from across the country are encouraged to give 67 minutes of service in celebration of Mandela day, which marks the former statesman’s birthday.
