Products to buy on #BlackFriday

Many consumers will be looking at doing their Christmas and New Year's shopping on Black Friday.

Surveys by Dublin-based PwC Research conducted in France, Germany, Ireland, the Netherlands, the UK and South Africa, showed South African consumers plan to spend 36% more on Black Friday this year than in 2018.

Amid the frenzy, some end up buying stuff they don't need. Here are tips on getting what you really need.

SCHOOL UNIFORM AND STATIONERY

Fashion will be leading the deals but before you buy your children holiday clothes, get their school uniforms. Take advantage of the sales on school shoes, bags, shirts and so forth. They will be costly in January.

HAIR AND BEAUTY PRODUCTS

People with natural hair know how expensive it is to maintain – products don't come cheap. Stock up on shampoos, perfumes and toiletries to keep your hair healthy and body smelling nice.

APPLIANCES AND ELECTRONICS

Loot.co.za is having a massive sale, especially on appliances. For example, a Bosch 573L Side by Side Fridge / Freezer that costs R26 699 is on sale for only R15 499. Plus, if you use the coupon code "FESTIVEDEAL" you also save R1 000 when you check out. Now that's a bargain.

BOOKS

Bookworms are also going to have a jol this Black Friday because costly best-selling books, have decreased in price. Siren by Kuli Roberts, which retails for R229, is being sold for R165 at Loot. co.za – a great gift for someone.

TOYS

It is advisable to get children educational toys that will stimulate their minds such as puzzles, a doctor's kit, Edu-Science Nature Survival Kit and so forth, depending on their interests.
