Nando's and all the other fast food outlets are set to face tough times with the emergence of Nomusa's Flame Grilled Chicken, a company that is based in Inanda.
Owned by one of the ambitious black businessmen Thembinkosi Mzwai Ndwandwe, the business is flourishing and causing havoc in the space.
Ndwandwe reveals he was inspired by his late mother who ensured she cooked chicken feet and heads for him to sell at school.
As quoted by Independent Media Online, the driven entrepreneur has definitely inspired many men and women in the sector.
"My mother, who was a teacher, used to cook the feet and heads for me, then I sold them at school," he said.
"I have had an entrepreneurial mindset since I was seven years old. I used to work side-by-side with my late mother who cooked chicken feet and heads and I would be the one going out to sell them."
The business is already boasting of 45 staffers who hail from surrounding areas of Inanda, Ntuzuma, and KwaMashu.
"I have been in different businesses but opening Nomusa's, I wanted something that would be a game-changer," Ndwandwe added.
"My mother was not able to witness all my achievements and so with the chicken restaurant I wanted to honour her as she was part and parcel of my entrepreneurial journey.
"I am humbled, very excited and I feel like crying because of all the love I am receiving. I wish for God to help me build franchises so that black people can benefit from it too."
The experienced businessman has really touched millions of people on social media channels and many believe he will pose a serious threat to the likes of Nando's.
