Adidas' statistics suggest the Adios Pro 2 was the most winning long-distance shoe in 2021, with 60% of World Major Marathon winners crossing the tape while wearing them.
That's a strong convincer for the Pro 3s, though we hope Adidas' meddling hasn't gone too far as it's made some big tweaks to that winning formula.
Where last year's energy return system used individual carbon rods in each midsole, these trainers combine them together to create a more unified bounce; the stack on that midsole gets a double layer of Lightstrike Pro foam, putting these just within the legal limit of height for competition running.
