e.tv viewers will get a chance to watch the 2016 MTV Africa Music Awards (MAMA). The awards will take place at the Ticketpro Dome on Saturday, 22 October at 9:00PM. e.tv will air the awards at 10:00PM.
The MTV Africa Music Awards Johannesburg 2016 celebrates musicians and achievers who have made the most impact on African culture over the past 12 months. The awards, which were established in 2008, by Viacom International Media Networks Africa, are a celebration of the most popular contemporary music across the African continent.
e.tv is partnering with MTV to bring viewers this globally significant event for the third time this year.

The 2016 awards will be hosted by entrepreneur and media personality, Bonang Matheba. The multiple award winning Matheba is former MAMA nominee.
Previously hosted in KwaZulu-Natal, the awards will be hosted in Johannesburg for the first time. Music fans, artists, music industry insiders and media are expected to attend the live event at the Ticketpro Dome, Johannesburg.
