As part of its Woman's Month programme to celebrate and elevate South Africa's multi-talented women, POWER 98.7 is once again giving phenomenal women the opportunity to take control of its airwaves for three days.
For the fourth time this year, the station will from 8 – 10 August, be replacing all male presenters with an exciting #987Woman line-up which is expected to provoke, inspire, inform and entertain – all at once.
This year's #987Woman line-up, like in the previous years, will not disappoint as it includes women from various walks of life ranging from the arts, political and academic fraternity. The line-up includes mayors, ministers, poets, musicians, actors and professors; and many other women who will share their views and opinions on a myriad of topics affecting their lives and society as large.
The 2018 edition have big shoes to fill, as the slots they will occupy have previously been filled by some of the other influential women in South Africa such as Professor Thuli Madonsela, Jenny Crwys-Williams, Tumi Morake, Felicia Mabuza-Suttle, Dr Nkosazana Dlamini-Zuma, Lira, Phuti Mahanyele, Letta Mbulu, Judy Dlamini, Khanyi Dhlomo, Minnie Dlamini and Lindiwe Mazibuko.
"We are absolutely convinced that this year's line-up will live up to expectations and add value to discussions happening in the country and beyond. These are knowledgeable and powerful women and therefore there is no doubt they will satisfy POWER 98.7's listeners' hunger for quality discussions – led by quality presenters," POWER 98.7's Station Manager, Bob Mabena said.
This campaign wishes to honour the women of POWER for inspiring us and to recognize their resilience in spite of the challenging environments that they exist and operate in" said Mabena.
