#Mobicel amps up it's game with the VX20 smartphone

Mobicel has stepped up its game with the manufacturing of the VX20 phone and headphones, a smartphone with the capability of most at a more reasonable price, making it easier for the average South African to own and access a smartphone.

The company was the brainchild of Ridhwan Khan, who used to repair phones and saw a gap in the market.
The first phones were assembled in China until 2020 when a plant was opened in Midrand.

The facility also has a call centre, repair centre and a helpline.

Not only is Mobicel manufacturing phones. It is also promoting the culture of employment by employing women in its production facilities and local assembly plant, making sure fewer families are affected by unemployment.

Specs of the new device include a faster processor 64 gigabytes of storage, dual SIM, and a longer-lasting 4500mAh battery.
