Bonang Matheba gets #Mzansi feeling good again as she appears on the popular #BreakfastClub in New York

Presenter Bonang Matheba stopped by The Breakfast Club in New York City and talked about her life, the SA entertainment industry and her love life.

Following her attendance at the "E! People's Choice Awards" in Santa Monica, California, she flew to New York City where she spoke with DJ Envy and Charlamagne Tha God.

In the interview, Matheba talked about her start in the entertainment industry, from her beginnings on SABC1 to the businesswoman she is today.

The House of BNG owner also told of how she met Charlamagne – they bumped into each other at the Global Citizen Festival last year.

She also explained why she was moving to the US and that Africans aspired to realise their American dream even though they had made it in their home country.

When DJ Envy asked her if she was married, she said "no". He then asked her why she had a ring on her ring finger, to which Matheba replied it was to "stop nonsense", making it clear she used it as a barricade to keep away men she didn't take a liking to.

Charlemagne then asked her if she would date an American man and she said she liked "tall, dark African" men.

The interview ended with her explaining that her champagne was viewed in SA the way Jay-Z's champagne brand, Ace of Spades, was treated in the US.
