It's almost time for another season of the reality competition series Tropika Island of Treasure, in which six celebs team up with six contestants to compete for R1 million. The breathtaking Curaçao in the Caribbean will be the backdrop for season 9.
We asked this year's celeb contestants who they'd take with them if they were going to be stranded on a desert island – and what else they'd want to take along.

My two sisters – we're really close and get along so well. And my mascara. Anything else would run out fast – my mascara will last a very long time.
TV PRESENTER AND ACTOR KAY SIBIYA
It would have to be my boys [friends] – they know how to make the best of every situation and it'd be hella funny. And some kind of internet connection. I'd die without YouTube and Google.

Three people – my mom, manager and best friend. And my cellphone, sunscreen and a little red bikini.

I'd want to be stranded with Ntando or Simphiwe – they're both strong strategists and would keep us alive! And I'd take a giant box of matches.
