A body confident mother has shared how empowered she feels and embraced her curvy physique.
She revealed that people make nasty comments about her mom bod, but she loves herself.
Self-love advocate and mother Jolene Mendez (@jolenemendez) describes herself as a "creator of content and confidence," according to her bio.
In a TikTok video, she stripped down and bared her 220-pound body and her soul in a body positive message.
The subtitle at the start of the video read: "What you see versus what I see."
She stood in front of the camera in a pink graphic cropped T-shirt and pink underwear.
Her stretch marks and cellulite were on full display, but she didn't care.
Then, the video transitioned to show a fast slideshow of photos of her children and photos of her pregnant.
Every few seconds, a word would appear to describe how she felt about herself, like protector, supporter, and nurturer.
"You might hate the stretches and marks. Stop. They show your strength. They show your love," she detailed.
At the end of the video, she confidently wrote in a subtitle: "This is motherhood," as she touched her stomach and wore the cropped T-shirt and underwear that exposed her body.
"This will forever be the video where I felt empowered in my skin as a mother," she confidently explained in the video caption.
She added that there was a certain vulnerability in loving herself and the changes her body goes through in every stage of life.
Many people praised her in the comment section for her transparency.
