The SA Classic, held on Saturday 02 March at the Turffontien Race Course was the second leg of the SA Triple Crown. Esteemed guests included Sheikh Hamdan, the Crown Prince of Dubai, whose three-year-old racehorse, Hawwaam smashed his rivals in the 2019 renewal of the Grade 1 SA Classic over 1800m. Victoria Gin also showcased all of their best products to media and public, who enjoyed the offering in the racing.
Hawwaam powered home 5.75-lengths clear of stable mate Barahin, with National Park a further 1,50-lengths back.
