1. As gorgeous as limited-edition make-up collections usually are, they're often in very seasonal or trendy shades, and sometimes not of the same quality as the core line. Be selective when you choose limited edition items, and make sure you swatch the testers first.
2. Mascara should be thrown out after three months, so this is not where you should be spending big bucks. Opt for a budget-friendly version that won't tempt you to keep it for longer than the recommended time.
3. High fashion colours come and go, so don't invest in those. Spend your money on classic lipstick shades, for example, and buy the rest from more affordable brands.
