Yanga Sobetwa, last year's SA Idols winner, is probably still reeling from the media frenzy around grabbing the title and M-Net has already opened up registrations for this year.
In addition to conducting their talent search in four ma jor cities throughout the country, the organisers say the auditions will also be taking place earlier this year.
"The auditions will be criss-crossing South Africa in search of the velvet vocals of our next idols, and chances are that could be you," says Idols SA, encouraging contestants to get to their respective venues early.
Registration desks will open at 8am and participants are urged to bring along positive identification, lots of water, food and a song that suits their voice.
