South African rapper AKA says that despite Cassper Nyovest turning down his offer to help fill up FNB Stadium, he was 'serious' about performing at the gig.
Fans were left shocked when the rapper offered to help Cassper make history at his #FillUPFNBStadium gig.
Last week, Cassper told MetroFM that he is "flat broke" and couldn't afford the R15-million he needed to fund the gig.
"I'm broke as hell. I almost sold my cars. I am flat broke. I have two employees that haven't been paid this month. This is the first time since [Fill Up] The Dome that I don't have money, I am in debt," he told the station's Masechaba Ndlovu.
AKA then took to Twitter and asked Cassper what he thought about having the Supa Mega perform at the gig.
"I wanna do fill up FNB with Tsibip. It's time we put this shit to bed. It's 2017 guys," he tweeted.
AKA also told fans to put some respect on the Tito Mboweni hitmaker's name for wanting to fill up the stadium with 90 000 fans.
"Besides, the balls this guy has to have to try and fill FNB stadium …. by himself. You gotta at least respect that."
Cassper responded to AKA saying that if he wants to help, all he needs to do is buy a ticket.
In an interview with TshisaLIVE, AKA said he would gladly perform at the gig if Cassper asked him to.
"We haven't spoken yet and I doubt he (Cassper) will approach me to be part of the show but I am serious about performing," he said.
