Apart from the monetary rewards, glitz and glamour, music super stars
are often celebrated through awards.
Speaking of awards, a 13 man international jury has released the
nominee list for the much anticipated 2016 edition of the All Africa
Music Awards (AFRIMA).
South Africa singing sensations AKA, Anatii, Black Coffee, Dizu
Plaatjies, DJ Maphorisa and Kwesta all made the nominee list for best
male artist in Southern Africa.
In the best female artist category, Zahara, Lira and Zonke made it and
you would agree with me that all these talented acts have done very
well for themselves thus far.
Voting will open on August 30th, 2016 while November 4-6, 2016 will
include the Africa Music Summit on Friday, November 4.
The grand finale will be held on the 6th of November in Lagos with
more than 2500 guests expected to attend.
