Feel it #Mzansi, its here! Here is what to expect as #Russia take on #SaudiArabia #RUSKSA

The World Cup 2018 is upon us and kicks off with hosts Russia taking on Saudi Arabia at the Luzhniki Stadium.

How both sides approach the tournament's curtain raiser will be intriguing as it could make or break their chances of advancing from Group A.

Here are a few tactical talking points ahead of the encounter.

Russia sticking with three at the back: Despite experimenting with a 4-1-4-1 system in their penultimate warm-up game against Austria, which ended in a 1-0 defeat, Stanislav Cherchesov is expected to deploy a 3-4-2-1 formation when his side face Saudi Arabia.

It's a system he has consistently used and reverted to in a 1-1 draw with Turkey last Tuesday.

Russia retain a flat back five without the ball but the wing-backs push up to flank the midfield in possession while one of the midfielders, usually Roman Zobnin, drops back to shield the back-line.

The central defensive three is stretched as a result of the two outside centre-backs pulling wide to create passing options.

Saudi's swift counter-attacks: Mohammad Al-Sahlawi scored 16 goals during Saudi's qualifying campaign and was the joint-top scorer overall but a recent drought on the international stage has seen him lose his place to electric Al-Ittihad winger Fahad Al Muwallad.

The 23-year-old's searing pace being deployed up front has sharpened the Eagles' counter-attacking threat with experienced midfielder Taisir Al-Jassim pulling the strings in possession and looking to release Muwallad quickly.

Saudi look to absorb pressure and then use the flanks to counter-attack as well. Left-back Yasser Al-Shahrani consistently attempts to release pacey winger Salem Al-Dawsari with long balls down the left flank.

Going long to Smolov Even if Russia enjoy a good share of possession against Saudi, it may not work in their favour.

The hosts are known to be disjointed in possession and if the Middle East outfit can neutralise the creative influence of Alan Dzagoev and Aleksandr Golovin, Cherchesov's side will find it difficult to pass their way through their opponents.

In such a scenario, Russia will resort to getting the ball wide to the wing-backs or one of the outside centre-backs and play long balls into the space down the flanks for lone striker Fyodor Smolov to chase down.

"Although there are many different smartphones for consumers to choose from today, most tend to offer very similar experiences without much distinction from one to the next," TCL senior VP and BlackBerry Mobile president Alain Lejeune said.

Five most popular songs on #Billboard #Drake

We're in action with the five most popular songs in the Billboard Hot 100 Pop Singles chart, for the week ending June 9, 2018.

Chart-watchers should like this week's lineup: not only do we welcome a returning title, the championship also changes hands.

Number 5: Zedd, Maren Morris & Grey "The Middle"

Zedd, Maren Morris and U.S. duo Grey move into fifth place with "The Middle." Zedd says his self-driving Tesla car saved his life. The DJ went on Twitter to credit his car's autopilot function for keeping him on the road after he fell asleep.

Number 4: Post Malone & Ty Dolla $ign "Psycho"

Post Malone and Ty Dolla $ign continue to slumber in fourth place with "Psycho." Away from the chart, though, Post is keeping busy. He and Nicki Minaj will co-headline this year's Made In America Festival. Scheduled for September 1 and 2, the Philadelphia festival will include Meek Mill, Diplo, Janelle Monae, and other top acts. On June 5, Post also took to Twitter to say he's writing songs for his third studio album.

Number 3: Drake "God's Plan"
Drake holds in third place with his former 11-week champ "God's Plan." Down in sixth place, Drake and Lil Baby are on the move with "Yes Indeed." It marks Drake's 26th Top 10 appearance in the Hot 100. That moves him past Elvis Presley for ninth place among artists with the most Top 10 singles. Drake still has work to do, though: Madonna leads the list with 38.

Number 2: Childish Gambino "This Is America"

Childish Gambino loses his singles crown in second place with "This Is America."  He'll perform at festivals in Spain and the U.K. on July 12 and 14, respectively. September will find him back in North America on a month-long tour with Rae Sremmurd and Vince Staples.

Number 1: Drake "Nice For What" The chart force known as Drake re-takes the Hot 100 title with "Nice For What."  Away from the charts, Drake has been mired in a war of words with fellow rapper Pusha T.

Last week, Pusha T released "The Story Of Adidon," which accused Drake of being a deadbeat dad to a secret son. This week, record executive and Drake friend J. Prince said he persuaded Drake not to release a response single which he said could potentially end Pusha T's career. The charts just keep on going, so don't miss any of the action and join us next week!

How to encourage your children to start #saving early

Parents and elders often start saving for their children from a young age. While this initial step is great in helping them set up their life goals; children should also learn the basics of saving and investing from a young age.

"The only way your children will start building this saving persona, is by learning about money matters from a young age, understanding how it can work for them and being given the chance to start managing their finances on their own, with positive guidance from parents and elders. Assistance and guidance is necessary in ensuring that they save for the right things as opposed to undisciplined spending on anything that catches their eye. This early savings habit could also help in ensuring that they have access to savings in the event of an emergency," says Ancley Jacobs, CEO FNB Cash Investments.

He adds that, "Building a culture of saving is important. With ongoing price increases, inflation and economic pressures consumers are left with a little less in their pockets at the end of every month. Saving money regularly will teach children the power of being able to buy bigger and more meaningful items after disciplined saving, such as a bicycle or games console, rather than many small items that quickly lose their appeal and value, such as unhealthy snacks or low-quality toys."

Jacobs suggest the following tips to help your children start saving from a young age:

Talk about savings: The very first step in the process is to openly talk to your children about savings and investments and lead by example. Practice what you preach and demonstrate the importance and benefits of saving for the short, medium and long-term.

Goals: Help your children to start saving with a certain goal in mind which will be dependent on their age and life stage. Get your children to draw up a list of things that they want and need like a game, book, remote controlled car, gap year; and encourage them to start savings towards that goal.

Wallet or piggy bank: Encourage your children to put their spare change or notes in a piggy bank or a wallet. This is one of the easiest ways to teach younger children to start saving.

Match funding: To kick-start their savings you could match or contribute a percentage to your children's monthly savings. This additional reward will give them a reason to save more and something to look forward to.

Open a savings account: Help your children keep track of their savings with the FNBy Savings Account, which offers the convenience of having all their banking in one place. This initial savings account is the first step in helping them help themselves on their savings journey. Also consider opening a Tax-Free Savings Account from FNB. Cash Deposit, Share Investing and Unit Trust options are available and the returns are free of tax. Your regular contributions to this account on their behalf will also set a great example for your kids.

Savings Apps: Gen Z or Alpha integrate social media and technology in their lives. Unlike previous generations they are exposed to the digital environment daily. So why not look at savings apps or gamification that will help them build on their savings journey. FNB has a range of entertaining educational videos for kids available on the Banking App to help teach them to save.

Be innovative: Look for fun and innovative ways to help your children save. Use colour envelopes, jars, bottle caps and games which will help them understand the concept of savings.

The Impact of GDPR on Digital #Marketing

The General Data Protection Regulation legislation is the most important change in data privacy regulation in 20 years. Its fundamental aim is to protect all EU citizens from privacy and data breaches in an increasingly data-driven world. As the international resident's compliance deadline of 25 May 2018 is upon us, there is more emphasis than ever on using and storing data responsibly. But what does this mean for organisations such as digital marketing agencies where personal data acts as currency? For marketers, data forms the foundation of successful campaigns - it enables us to target the appropriate audience with the relevant content, recognise site visitors and more. So, how will this impact the way marketers consider data?

What is the legislation? While the GDPR is European legislation, it applies to any company that handles the data of EU citizen's data, regardless of where that company is. The GDPR legislation strengthens residents' rights and creates unprecedented transparency surrounding how their data is controlled, ensuring that individuals are informed about - and in control of - the personal data they share with companies. According to CURA Software Solutions, a Governance, Risk and Compliance solutions provider, the set principles that controllers must comply with include the following:

● Lawfulness, Fairness and Transparency

This means that the processing of information must be lawful and not excessive. Processing should be for a defined purpose, and there should be openness as to any processing activities. The principles and conditions of the law must be followed. In an essential step towards data transparency and consumer empowerment, the new legislation stipulates that the data subjects may obtain confirmation as to whether or not their personal data is being processed, where and for what purpose.

● Purpose Limitation

The processing of the information must be for a defined purpose and limited from further processing without consent thereafter.

● Data Minimisation

Only necessary data should be kept in order for processing to take place. Organisations should be cognizant of the fact that they should not be keeping excessive data that is unused for their purpose.

● Accuracy

The data itself should be accurate and should allow for those whose data is being processed to participate in making sure it is up to date.

● Storage Limitation

Once data processing has completed, the data should be removed. It should not be kept for longer than is necessary to perform the data processing activities.

● Integrity and Confidentiality

Data, wherever it may be stored, must be stored responsibly and with the correct safeguards in place to ensure its security. It is the obligation of the organisation to prevent loss, damage or unlawful access to the data via appropriate security measures. This information must be treated as confidential. In the instance of a security breach, both the regulator and the data subject should be notified of such.

How Will This Affect Digital Marketing?

This legislation impacts a multitude of fundamentals for digital marketing, including:

● Opt In / Opt Out

As per the GDPR, 'implied consent' or 'soft opt-ins' is no longer acceptable for personal data - consent must be explicit. Organisations must be able to provide proof that a user chose to opt-in to any communication. Under this legislation, marketers are able to email someone, as long as that person had the option to opt-out of emails at the time of purchase.

● Data Capture Forms

Now that opt-in has to be explicit, any on-site forms must comply. This extends beyond the option to opt-in - forms must be deployed and hosted in a way that complies with GDPR

● Marketing With Legitimate Interest

Legitimate interest means that users' data is processed in ways they would reasonably expect and which have a minimal privacy impact, or where there is a compelling justification for the processing. When a business uses a legitimate interest precedent for direct marketing, the marketer is allowed to send email marketing on an opt-out or unsubscribe basis.

● Third-Party Compliance

For many marketing agencies, third-party tools and marketing tech providers form a large part of their data ecosystem. Therefore, it is imperative for marketers to ensure that their suppliers are compliant, or at the very least held to the same standard as their own organisation. Further to this, third parties must only provide data that is necessary or falls under legitimate interest.

● CRM

While users have always had the right to opt-out, under the GDPR, users have the right to be forgotten. This means that the user's data can no longer just be marked as 'do not contact', but must be deleted. It is also worth evaluating tech stack integrations to ensure that when requested, data can be removed from all related databases and platforms.

● Events

In light of the updated opt-in consent requirements, marketers will no longer be allowed to add event attendees to a campaign, unless you can prove explicit opt-in.

● Data Governance

In the instance of creating a new data record, or integrating third-party contacts into a database, opt-in compliance is still non-negotiable. This is applied across contexts, such as importing contacts from a spreadsheet or integrating contacts with your CRM.

According to Gary Meyer, Condriac Digital Communications' Managing Director, ensuring compliance with GDPR legislation begins and ends with transparency. "Our fundamental goal as a marketing agency is to build relevant and valuable relationships with our consumers, and transparency is key here. By giving your consumers insight into why they are opting into your messaging, they can see the value in it, thereby building a foundation of trust and good faith."

Many Patients With Breast #Cancer Don't Actually Need #Chemo, Study Finds

The majority of women with the most common type of early-stage breast cancer can safely skip chemotherapy after surgery, according to a highly anticipated new report. The findings came from the largest breast cancer treatment trial ever conducted and showed that most patients who have an intermediate risk of a cancer recurrence - a group that numbers 65,000 women a year in the United States - can avoid chemotherapy and its often debilitating side effects.

"We have been waiting for these results for years," said Allison Kurian, an oncologist at Stanford University who was not involved in the trial. "They are going to change treatment and remove uncertainty for women making decisions."

The same decade-long study had previously confirmed that patients at low risk, as determined by a genomic test of their tumours, can skip chemotherapy. The two groups, taken together, account for about 70 percent of women diagnosed with the most common type of breast cancer. That means more than 85,000 women a year can safely forgo chemotherapy.

Some of those women have been skipping chemotherapy based on less rigorous research. Now, they can have confidence in those decisions, experts said. Other patients may change their treatment approach based on the results of this latest study. The latest results were presented Sunday morning at the annual meeting of the American Society of Clinical Oncology in Chicago and published in the New England Journal of Medicine.

#England expecting a tough #Springboks challenge - Owen Farrell

Owen Farrell says England have the experience to cause South Africa problems in the upcoming three-Test series, which gets underway on Saturday.

England last toured South Africa in 2012, when they only managed to avoid a whitewash by drawing the third and final Test.

But Farrell - who is captaining the squad in the absence of Dylan Hartley - thinks it could be a different story this time.

"Excited to be in Durban, a brilliant spot, but what we are most excited about is to be here for the rugby, and we are looking forward to building towards this Test match this weekend," he told _Sky Sports_.

"International rugby is a step up and this is somewhere you come to get better and improve as a player.

"In 2012, I was at a different stage. We had only just got together under Stuart [Lancaster].

"We had an OK Six Nations but we came as a fairly young team and it didn't go as well as it could have.

"This group has a lot more experience now and we are excited to be here.

"Coming over here, you expect a physical challenge. We have to make sure we are up there with that and we are pretty smart all over the field - and are able to execute at the same time."

Farrell is relishing the prospect of leading the side and added: "Dylan did a fantastic job.

"I shared a room with him throughout that time and saw all the work he put into it.

"First and foremost, I just have to be myself."
