Scottish Leader Showcases At Blackanese Pop-Up Event

Leading Jozi restaurant entrepreneur, Vusi Kunene of The Blackanese restaurant in Maboneng Precinct, invited the recently revitalised Scottish Leader Scotch whisky to team up with him to present at a pop-up event he recently hosted at Constitution Hill.

Although well-known for dishing up sensational sushi, Kunene and his team had a different idea for the pop-up event and delighted visitors with flame-grilled seafood and meat dishes, groovy music and a selection of delicious Scottish Leader whisky cocktails, featuring Scottish Leader Original and the newest kid on the block, Scottish Leader Signature.  The whiskies were also available to be enjoyed neat or with a few blocks of ice.

Scottish Leader not only has a new look but has also enhanced its recipe, upping the single malt content of Scottish Leader Original, unveiled first in South Africa before going worldwide. South Africans have also been the first to try the all-new, very premium Scottish Leader Signature, an enticingly complex and layered blended whisky with a very rich, smoky profile.

Taygan Govinden, marketing spokesperson for Scottish Leader in South Africa, describes the new, refreshed packaging as “modern, tall and proud, showcasing the new soaring eagle brand icon, an inherently Scottish symbol which conveys success, vision and power - the characteristics of a great leader and the essence of the Scottish Leader brand.”

Scottish Leader Original, in 1 litre, 750 ml and 200 ml, and Signature in 750 ml packaging, are available from leading South African liquor outlets.
