The wait is over, Cotton Fest is back with a bang this year!
The countdown to the second annual Cotton Fest has officially begun. With just two weeks to go, party animals can look forward to 2020's first major music festival in Johannesburg.
Taking place at the old Park Station in Newtown on February 1, this year's line-up has over 100 artists including A-reece, AKA, Black
Motion, Big Zulu, Boity, Moonchild, Miss Cosmo, Touchline, Stilo Magolide, Manu Worldstar, Major League, Dj Maphorisa, Frank Casino, Kabza Da Small, Kamo Mphela, Emtee, Killer Kau, Rouge, Shane Eagle, Riky Rick, Lemon and Herb, and many other artists who will bring Jozi to a standstill.
Cotton Fest is a celebration of music and fashion. It was started in 2019 by musician and fashion icon, Riky Rick.
Merging known and unknown South African talent, the festival platforms the diverse elements of the hip-hop culture, while fusing the gaps within the popular local movements.
"Cotton Fest much like
Desperados resonates with the culture, so the synergy was just an obvious one when we joined the team last year.
"With joint plans to take Cotton Fest to the next level this year, we are super excited to get behind this celebration of music and fashion, where so many of SA'S talent is showcased and saluted," said
Desperados brand manager Mathew Walton.
This year's festival promises new, exciting elements such as 16 unique food stalls, five themed bars (including a cocktail bar), as well as branded sneaker activations.
