Actress Thabisile Zikhali opens her own beauty salon in Midrand

Popular actress Thabisile Zikhali, known for her roles in shows like Uzalo, Isitha: The Enemy, and The Black Door, has taken a new step in her career by opening her own beauty salon. Lavish Beauty Salon, situated in Midrand, Johannesburg, will offer a range of services including haircuts, nails, hairstyling, makeup, and lashes once fully operational.

Sharing her excitement on Instagram, Zikhali posted photos of her new venture with the Bible quote, "When the time is right, I, the Lord will make it happen."  In the post, she reminisced about her childhood, recalling how she would run an informal salon in her dining room while still in primary school. Every weekend, she would braid the hair of her neighbors, even going as far as putting up a board on their gate to attract customers. Most of her clients paid for her services, except for her mom, sister, and aunt.

The star continued running her salon during her university years, and even remembers writing a business proposal in primary school to turn their garage into a salon. However, she lacked the resources to make it a reality at the time.

With the opening of Lavish Beauty Salon, Zikhali has finally fulfilled her childhood dream. This new chapter in her career demonstrates her entrepreneurial spirit and her dedication to pursuing her passions beyond acting.  Fans and colleagues are eagerly anticipating the grand opening and the services that Lavish Beauty Salon will offer.

Boom Shaka set for monumental comeback after three decades proving that comebacks are possible

South African kwaito legends Boom Shaka are poised for a triumphant return to the music scene after a three-decade hiatus.  The group, known for their groundbreaking debut in 1994, is currently in the studio working on a highly anticipated new album, marking their comeback after a long absence.

The group has decided to work independently, moving away from their former label, Kalawa Jazzme, which is no longer actively producing music except for special projects. Boom Shaka confirmed their return but remained tight-lipped about specifics regarding their upcoming album, leaving fans eagerly awaiting news.

The group's journey has been marked by both triumphs and tragedies.  Boom Shaka originally consisted of Lebo Mathosa, Thembi Seete, Junior Sokhela, and Theo Nhlengethwa. Tragically, Lebo, a beloved member, passed away in a car accident in 2006 at the young age of 29.

The group's comeback plans have also been affected by Theo's recent health setback.  He was hospitalized after sustaining an injury during gym training, delaying the group's 30th-anniversary tour.  Theo's injury, which he continues to recover from, has forced cancellations of appearances and interviews to allow for a full recovery.

Despite the challenges, Theo's condition has improved, and the group remains dedicated to their comeback.  While details about their new music are still under wraps, Boom Shaka's return is a significant event for the South African music scene.

TikTok feud between Handsome Khuthuza and Samkelo Shezi ends in fashion collaboration

TikTok, a social media platform known for its diverse content, has recently witnessed a captivating feud between two prominent figures in the Masandi music scene: Handsome Khuthuza and Samkelo Shezi. This saga of egos, jealousy, and accusations has gripped the attention of South Africa and beyond, unfolding in a series of viral TikTok videos.

The feud ignited when Samkelo Shezi, a renowned figure in the Afrotainment industry, publicly accused Handsome Khuthuza of stealing one of his girlfriends. This accusation sparked a social media firestorm, with Khuthuza responding with his own accusations of envy and jealousy.

Khuthuza, whose real name is Khethokuhle Ngobese, countered Shezi's claims by alleging that Shezi's attacks were driven by resentment over his rising success in the music industry. The feud escalated to new heights when Shezi challenged Khuthuza to a physical confrontation in a now-infamous video posted on TikTok.

However, in a surprising turn of events, Zimoja reported that Samkelo Shezi had filed an assault charge against Handsome Khuthuza, only to later drop the charges. Shezi explained that they had reconciled, stating, "We have kissed and made up. There is no need to hold grudges." He emphasized that he preferred to move forward and focus his energy ailleurs, recognizing that "life is too short to be going around and fighting."

Handsome Khuthuza also confirmed their reconciliation, saying, "We are fine, that's all I can say."

The reconciliation between Khuthuza and Shezi has been met with mixed reactions. Some have praised their ability to put aside their differences, while others have expressed skepticism about the sincerity of their reconciliation. Regardless, the feud between these two Masandi giants has captivated the attention of social media and provided a glimpse into the complexities of human relationships and the power of forgiveness.

In the end, the feud between Handsome Khuthuza and Samkelo Shezi serves as a reminder that even the most bitter of conflicts can be resolved. Through forgiveness and a willingness to move forward, former adversaries can find common ground and build a better future together, proving that reconciliation is always possible if both parties are willing to make amends.

Kaizer Chiefs set to play European giants

Kaizer Chiefs players and staff have commenced the first phase of their rigorous preseason program at Naturena. Amidst the intense training sessions, the club is reportedly considering an ambitious preseason tour to Turkey, potentially extending to Belgium and the Netherlands.

Turkey Emerges as Potential Destination

Initial reports indicated that Chiefs were considering Belgium and the Netherlands as potential preseason destinations. However, Turkey has emerged as a third option, with rumors circulating about a possible match against European giants Galatasaray. A source close to the club confirmed the plans for a three-country tour, including a potential clash with Galatasaray.

"They (Chiefs) are still looking at Belgium and Holland, but they have added Turkey to their list," the source said. "Maybe the coach advised them to include Turkey because it would provide a great challenge for the team's preparations."

Clash with Galatasaray on the Cards

A second source provided further insight into Chiefs' preseason opponents, indicating that a match against a Tanzanian team is also being considered.

"They (Chiefs) are also expected to host a team from Tanzania," the source revealed. "This will allow them to assess the team's performance against European and African opposition. Everything is in the pipeline and close to being finalized for both the European and Tanzanian teams."
